There are powerful forces of the universe <br />Their wisdom beyond our knowing <br />Reasons at play, <br />That drew us together, <br />So similar is our seeking <br /> <br />I don’t know what the future holds <br />As our hearts envelop in magical folds <br />So lets stay in the moment <br />In the now that we share <br />Relishing each day <br /> <br />We both have questions, doubts and fears <br />Anxieties from the past, flood our hearts <br />Shy hope for the future, flutters delicate wings <br />Between the past and the future <br />We often stand at the crossroads <br /> <br />When blue eyes meet black <br />And our dreams merge <br />What will we discover <br />The truth, we don't know <br />Yet trust we must, in this hope <br /> <br />For this hope runs between us <br />Like a golden chord of light <br />That you hold during bright daylight <br />And I during black nights <br /> <br />Let our sharing be a source <br />Of joy, of strength, of hope <br />Let it not be a weakness <br />That hollows hope <br /> <br />Lets not plot the future <br />Or plan, what's next to now <br />Lets stay in the moment <br />And discover each day <br /> <br />Life is mystical <br />In its own secret way <br />Will guide us forward, together <br />On a path that awaits the day <br /> <br />And when we step on this path <br />There will be petals strewn along the way <br />Stones and thorns hidden <br />May hurt our feet, for a day <br /> <br />Persist we must, as seekers <br />On this wonderful journey <br />As we travel together, we may yet find <br />More of life, the eternal journey <br /> <br />Yea time will test us, as it must <br />So we know what we feel is precious <br />'Tis not a passing fashion or lust, <br />It is love indeed for real! <br /> <br />Love has many faces, we are cautioned <br />Lets not judge by the faces we know <br />By past heartbreaks or rose tinted dreams <br />Lets stay real and the rest will unfold. <br /> <br />In this unfolding we may yet find <br />Love has facets untold <br />Believe this sharing, will lead us <br />To a place we both must find <br /> <br />Don't question the future, my love <br />’Tis by our actions, written everyday <br />Lets surrender to this sharing <br />And let love hold sway.<br /><br />Anita Atina<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/let-love-hold-sway/
