Looking out into a black velvet sky so high <br />All directions are filled with bright lights <br />Everyone of them shining with their white glow <br />Only to find a little star on its own <br /> <br />I gazed at that star and could understand how it feels <br />To be on its own and be different but still real <br />It may not be seen by the other stars <br />Who are in the galaxy so far <br /> <br />The little stars all shine bright to me <br />However, the littlest star is all I want to see <br />It's flickering light so peaceful and feeling glad <br />No longer can I see it look so sad<br /><br />Sarah Pesta<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-lonely-star/
