So many feelings in my one single being <br />Self-reflection only leads to self-fleeing <br />I can’t sort out my own thoughts <br />But in this day and time, it must be me to call all the shots <br />How much longer can I go? <br />How much longer until my true self shows? <br />My mind is like a double-edged sword <br />And within it, my agonizing contradictory I hoard. <br />This is nothing compared to others <br />As if compared to them I have errors. <br />But then again on a smaller scale <br />It’s important for me to unveil <br />Who I really am, and find myself along the way <br />I must remember though, that every day is a new day <br />Another chance to mend what I’ve broken <br />One more opportunity to rise above being soft-spoken <br />Another chance to give the proper goodbye. <br />One more opportunity to spread my wings and fly.<br /><br />Kayla Surber<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/one-more-opportunity/
