It is a confession though it may seem a tale <br />At a lesbian party I was the lone male <br />The hosts an ageing lesbian couple they invited me <br />To dropp in on saturday evening for sandwiches and tea. <br /> <br />I may as well have been a fly on the wall <br />For scarce little notice taken of me at all <br />Of any inhibitions these women seemed free <br />They hugged and they kissed quite revealing to see. <br /> <br />I felt out of place it was not my sort of scene <br />Though in stranger places I must say I've been <br />One might say I was out of my comfort zone <br />The only male there I was feeling alone. <br /> <br />With lesbians I don't have any issues and to each their own <br />As prejudices with the years I have outgrown <br />But at an all female party would you not agree <br />That most males would feel like a fish out of sea. <br /> <br />The sandwiches left a sweet taste in the mouth <br />Buttered wholemeal bread with tomato and trout <br />And of any inhibition the women were free <br />They kissed and they cuddled there in front of me.<br /><br />Francis Duggan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-may-as-well-have-been-a-fly-on-the-wall/
