Oldies but goodies always leave
such a wonderfull song in our heart

We can go back to a time that was
so innocent a time when it mattered
what our parents thought of us

Oldies that take us
to memories of yesterday
melodies that linger within our
soul to stay

Oh it doesn't have to mean any
particular time place or event

However the important thing is
it was our memories and we
made each and every one of them

Yes our clothing then was outcasted
upon us from our elders, our sadle
shoes, and bobbie socks, and poodle
skirts

Guys had to have the black slicked back
hair and leather jackets was a must, the
jeans were cuffed then with white socks
and black loafers white tee shirts, and a
very special place for the comb!

Driving around singing all the oldies
cruising up one side of the strip to
the other, and each car was
better than the other from its fins to the
chevys, and of course the copes that
were fixed up with the best engine in town

Ah yes, looking back to the days of yesterday
enlightend my heart and always will, I guess
you can change the world as it may, but you
never can change the happiness we once
knew, the times we hold so dear to each
and every Oldie But Goodie moment......

Bonnie Collins

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/oldie-but-goodie-moments/
