A greater gift could no one give <br />Salvation as a child <br />Given of God so man could live <br />On earth so meek and mild <br /> <br /> <br />No palace just a humble shed <br />No servants gathered round <br />No place to rest the Saviour’s head <br />But straw upon the ground <br /> <br /> <br />This world has need of changing fast <br />More wrong is done than right <br />Seldom thinking of Christmas passed <br />When man first saw The Light <br /> <br /> <br />Through love dawned forth Salvation’s Light <br />That all the world could see <br />God’s mighty arm came not to fight <br />But set the captive free <br /> <br /> <br />Emanuel! God’s Lamp on earth <br />He’d come but for this reason <br />God’s humble Lamb of virgin birth <br />What a joyful season <br /> <br /> <br />All people now on earth I pray <br />Will lift their voice and sing <br />For born to us on Christmas day <br />Was Christ our Lord and King <br /> <br /> <br />To children seeking more than toys <br />The Lord gives Heaven’s seal <br />What wondrous joy for girls and boys <br />When Christ becomes them real <br /> <br /> <br />Heaven and earth will kneel one day <br />To Him they once ignored <br />Then every tongue is bound to say <br />That Jesus Christ is!
