Who live to sin, are blind and lost <br />With only self to blame <br />Who'd be prepared to pay the cost? <br />To free such souls from shame <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />As God loves man but hates his sin <br />And sees our lives on high <br />There’s seems no way for man to win <br />We're bound one day to die <br /> <br /> <br />Yet Jesus came to take our place <br />To heal and bear our pain <br />Redeem for God the human race <br />And give us birth again <br /> <br /> <br />To those God’s Son has reconciled <br />To souls who seek release <br />It matters not how much defiled <br />The Lord will give His peace! <br /> <br /> <br />There’s nothing else for us to pay <br />Through Christ, Salvation’s free <br />We need only to walk God's Way <br />To humbly bend our knee <br /> <br /> <br />Yet while it’s free, we act so dumb <br />We sing the devil’s lie <br />We fail to bid God’s Spirit come <br />To rot in sin and die <br /> <br /> <br />There’s nought we have to lose my friend <br />We’ve everything to gain <br />By giving Christ our heart to mend <br />He’ll take our every pain <br /> <br /> <br />How soon the Lord will claim His bride? <br />How long is yet to wait? <br />Best waste no time with foolish pride <br />It could be soon too late.<br /><br />Michael P.
