I have two sets of chimes on my porch, <br />hung there to sing in the wind. <br />One set of delicate rods, <br />silver hung from bamboo, <br />lovely sweet Pan Pipes. <br />The slightest breeze tickles them, <br />making them sing and dance- <br />running a fairy-song up and down the scale. <br />The other set is more masculine, <br />six hefty tubes of brass. <br />No mere breeze moves those <br />testerosterone chimes, <br />or ring them in delicate tones. <br />These are the storm chimes, <br />ringing out only when the quickening wind <br />shoves rudly with indelicate hands- <br />but, oh! the glory in that strike! <br /> <br /> 6/1/07<br /><br />Toni Atchison<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/chimes/
