As if shot from a canon <br />I pressed against the wind <br />And my heart stopped in flight <br />For I was taken again <br />By memories of love lost and the pleasures she brought <br />As if shot from a canon <br />I charished lessons she taught <br />And before I fell-she was gone...I fell, <br />I fell hard like rain on windsheilds through Washington <br />and tears from lovers unjoined <br />I fell, thinking of her <br />missing her touch, her kiss, and the moments between our sexual-silence <br />I fell, For she was all I ever wanted <br />Yet, I couldn't handle the truth <br />'She was the best thing that ever came in to my life' <br />Now my soul has turned blue <br />I don't know why it's the wrong women I chose' <br />'I don't know why it's the wrong women I chose' <br />'-As if shot from a canonI pressed against the <br />wind <br />Letting it's cool calm breeze get under my skin <br />I'm under my pen <br />It's words press continuous-sometimes strenuous letters of love pain <br />O' is lost in a realm where he's gone insane <br />That fact crammed my eyelids with an unbearable stain till tears fell thick like ink notes over a five bar scale and poetry off of my lips spoken over the rain <br />Now, I'm getting over the pain <br />Over being shot from a canon <br />Pressed against the wind <br />I long to be shot toward Balad <br />For I'm missing her again<br /><br />O.S.
