I thought I could fool myself, <br />lacking the reality I once had, <br />I fell back into the past, <br />and once again it drove me mad, <br />no not angry, <br />but yes crazy, <br />lost within this haze of life, <br />or at least what I thought was life, <br />until it became a deeper hurt, <br />this time it became much worse, <br />a desire to...die... <br /> <br />I thought I could fool myself, <br />turns out that my thoughts were wrong, <br />instead of fooling I just made it worse, <br />instead I chose to play along, <br />with the games of people everywhere, <br />pretending not to care, <br />but I did, <br />and in the end it almost cost me... <br />everything...everything, <br />even my L-i-f-e... <br /> <br />I thought I could fool myself, <br />but even I know that's just a trick, <br />ignoring my own conscience, <br />well some would just call that <br />plain sick, <br />and yes it is, <br />and yes it was, <br />The monster I became, <br />was the monster I....became... <br />did I ever change? <br />Did I?<br /><br />Sandra jacks<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/self-taught-blindness/
