Today is not like other days, <br />So many things are happening, <br />So many feelings I feel. <br />Yet everything seems to have 'slowed down', <br />I finally see the beauty of the sunlight, <br />The gentleness of the soothing breeze, <br />The stillness of the swaying grass, <br />And the clearness of the untouchable sky. <br />As the laundry moves back and forth on the line, <br />I see how precious each second is. <br />Sitting on my porch, breathing the wonderous air, <br />I feel alive and thankful. <br />I have such a perfect life, <br />So why do I feel this way? <br />Feel like im trapped in a dream, <br />And I want to wake up and see my home. <br />I have everything I could ask for, <br />But still I am not happy. <br />The one thing I don't have is my home. <br />As the birds sing their song, <br />I feel wonder and disbelief, <br />For I live such a perfect life, <br />But nothing's perfect without a home. <br />I took the time to figure it out, <br />On a calm endless day.<br /><br />Music Galore<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/on-a-calm-endless-day/
