echos of a broken man <br />lost in the sands of war <br />worrier all gather round <br />tears fall from the war ridden face <br />another lost sole <br />another body another hole <br />a friend a farther a mother a daughter <br />they will never be forgotten <br />but in time all will be left <br />is a poppy what they <br />died for will be in vain <br />for in the years to come they <br />will just be another name <br />another remembrance day <br />and yet they lessons will not be learned <br />we doomed ourselves <br />for a belief that no longer exists <br />freedom is what we thought we would gain <br />but in the end we will all be bound <br />with chains <br />we will all have to pay on judgment day <br />we choice to fight but our beloved solder <br />never chose to die <br />we never thought what would be lost alone the way <br />we never thought how many we would lose to this <br />never ending war<br /><br />kayleigh 2007<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/war-150/
