Distinguished, with an air of grace <br />A pinnacle refined <br />So delicate with pride of place <br />Yet someone’s left behind <br /> <br />Embellished by The Master’s hand <br />Exquisite grand and chic <br />Abandoned cracked like barren land <br />A vessel quite unique <br /> <br />No one can use a broken cup <br />Once beautiful and fine <br />But one God’s hand has lifted up <br />He’ll fill with precious wine <br /> <br />Of common dirt of humble clay <br />A thing of little worth <br />The Lord can cleanse a cup today <br />And give it second birth <br /> <br />A treasure to The King on high <br />Once damaged in the storm <br />An ugly cup that none would buy <br />No beauty in its form <br /> <br />Perhaps you think you’re ugly too <br />You’re battered stained or bruised <br />But Christ my friend can make you new <br />However much abused <br /> <br />In tender hands with love and care <br />God’s Lamb can cleanse your soul <br />His truth can make the ugly fair <br />Can make the broken whole <br /> <br />More precious than the finest gold <br />More sweet than honey dew <br />Restored once more within the fold <br />In service of the few<br /><br />Michael P.
