Who turn their backs to He who lives <br />Exist in deep despair <br />Refusing wisdom Jesus gives <br />To die with no one there <br /> <br />No one to hear us when we pray <br />No one to show us grace <br />No one to stand on judgment day <br />Pleading to God our case <br /> <br />How foolish must a person be? <br />How ignorant or blind? <br />The truth from God they’ll fail to see <br />To follow their own mind <br /> <br />Creation to the eye is plain <br />God’s handwork’s clear in view <br />Was Jesus’ death for us in vain? <br />What more has God to do? <br /> <br />For many reasons man has died <br />Since God made heaven and earth <br />But lacking living seed inside <br />To wind the soil gives birth <br /> <br />There must be something else to gain <br />Before our lives deplete <br />So when God sends from Heaven rain <br />We’ll grow as golden wheat <br /> <br />The harvesters are drawing nigh <br />The fields are white as snow <br />What happens if today you die? <br />Where has your soul to go? <br /> <br />With Satan burn or Christ to reign <br />Death opens wide two gates <br />Its Heaven or hell, joy or pain <br />Eternity awaits<br /><br />Michael P.
