My secret was like a bird <br />And in a cage it lived <br />Alone, glum and wondersome <br />Looking out from it's cage <br />Longing to one day be free <br />Then suddenly <br />Some one let my secret out <br />And the bird flew <br />High in the sky and all around <br />Until everybody knew <br />But the bird did not know <br />How to survive in the wild <br />Wounded by fierce eye, cold looks and words <br />It wimpered like a child <br />Drawing it's last sigh <br />It wished it had never been released <br />Life inside the cage was better atleast<br /><br />Innocent Once<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-bird-9/
