Given one wing, and stolen one heart,
Her world around her was torn apart,

She had days where she would cry, feel sad, and mope,
She had in her mind that she would no longer cope,

She was never this way, in fact she had changed,
Cause before this time, most was happy days,

A boy just right, had caught her eye,
Before you knew it their hands were tied,

Both their hearts mended with no more sorrow,
Looked on in the day for a better tomorrow,

But then, life had to take something away,
It took her love, it had stolen him away,

She lost her smiles and all her glee,
Losing her voice, falling to her knees,

She tried to scream ever so loud,
But no matter how hard no sound would come out,

For how are you to scream for your love,
If your heart isnt willing to give enough,

Heartless, lonely, and hollow inside,
Within the shadows is where she would hide,

People around her hold up their noses in disgust,
Avoiding her at all costs if they must,

With only one wing, heartless, and afraid,
She slowly began to turn into a shade,

A fragment of life, a bit of sand,
Nothing more than a tear dropp on a hand,

The only thing that was holding her all,
Was a little tiny promise so small,

She dared not break it, and held on tight,
Stood on her feet and began to fight,

Even though her world didnt want her,
She stuck with her friends and soon found laughter,

But no matter how hard she wanted to speak,
Her heart was just to weak,

And with only one wing you cant fly far,
So she remained on earth, living with her scar,

The heartless screamer will wait for her turn,
For the day when life steals her fire to burn.....

Lacey Nightmare

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-heartless-screamer/
