How many lives did you touch today? <br />As you went about your mundane busy way <br />did you touch family foe or friend? <br />Or was there a delicate relationship to mend? <br />Did you smile at the befuddled stranger on the street? <br />Or tip the waiter where you eat? <br />Did you touch your co-traveler’s heart today? <br />Please tell me, you paused to pray? <br />Did you help someone, or meet a pressing need? <br />Did you pick someone from their bad deeds? <br />Was there a child whose tear you wiped? <br />Or you just strolled away with a spring in your stride? <br />Was there someone hungry, you helped to feed? <br />Did you speak an encouraging word? <br />When people poured their hearts out, did they feel you heard? <br />Did you remember the driver on the bus <br />is just another one of us? <br />Family and strangers are all the same <br />each one of us, each has a name. <br />Tell me, did you share God's abundant love? <br />Or take the time to look at the blue sky above? <br />Did you lift someone to God's throne? <br />Did you move a lil bit out of your comfort zone? <br />Today may be the only touch you had <br />Was it for the good or bad? <br />Reach out to others while you can today <br />this golden rule, please obey. <br />For tomorrow just may be too late <br />to touch others, or change their fate <br />so as you go on your busy way <br />see how many lives you can touch <br />And then count the blessings that come your way<br /><br />Leonard Rebello<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/tomorrow-just-may-be-too-late/
