I love the early morning hours <br />When silence sets the tone <br />The world is still asleep it seems <br />And I find myself alone <br /> <br />But even though there is no one <br />To start the day with me <br />I feel His warming presence <br />No, that’s not a mystery <br /> <br />I drove to the lake in darkness <br />To view His amazing sunrise <br />I felt His love surround me <br />And I was not at all surprised <br /> <br />In the silence I might ask Him <br />What to do or what to say <br />My heart is over-flowing <br />As He answers it this day <br /> <br />For you see, we are never <br />Really and truly alone <br />He’s there to love and help us <br />And there if we need to atone <br /> <br />He knows that we’re not perfect <br />That we all are filled with sin <br />So take time some early morning <br />To watch the sunset just with Him!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/god-s-sunrise/
