Writing started long ago, <br />As a manner to express, <br />To tell someone: “I love you so”, <br />And “I’ll never love you less”. <br /> <br />Writing started as very rare, <br />In our impressive history, <br />And every time you’d stop and stare, <br />As if a holy mystery. <br /> <br />Writing developed over time, <br />The way it’s done and the reason why, <br />The different words and how to rhyme, <br />With time, it became less and less shy. <br /> <br />Writing has completely changed, <br />It’s no longer a way to escape, <br />No longer there to where it has always ranged, <br />It has got a brand new shape. <br /> <br />Nowadays writing is for the food on your table, <br />For the clothes you wear, <br />And it is no longer stable, <br />Oh, if people would just care. <br /> <br />We write only for the audience, <br />Only for the fame, <br />And always that obedience, <br />To advice that is so lame! <br /> <br />Writing to me is more than that, <br />It’s a way to let go everything I’ve got, <br />To express my feelings, happy or sad, <br />To find out my very own plot. <br /> <br />So write for yourself, <br />Not for anyone else, <br />Write every book on your life’s shelf, <br />And you’ve got the true writer’s cells. <br /> <br /> <br />hahaha, an old poem I wrote (found on my pc) I was angry because my teachers kept telling us that we should think about what the audience wants to read, etc... but now I know that if you can combine both, your own passion and the reader's interest, and put that in a poem, story, etc. than you have the perfect work, at least to me! <br />hope you enjoyed, comments are more than welcome and wanted<br /><br />Chantal Lammerts<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/writing-to-me/
