We all have our phobias and we all have our fears <br />But lucky are they who can be moved to tears <br />At the sufferings of others, People they do not know <br />The gift of compassion on trees does not grow. <br /> <br />With the great gift of compassion few gifts can compare <br />And those with compassion have always been rare <br />And those with compassion too have empathy <br />They are the best of good people and it does seem to me <br /> <br />That in a World where many are inspired by greed <br />Those born with compassion by good example lead <br />They do more than talking for talk can be cheap <br />And the fruits of good karma one day they will reap. <br /> <br />Those with true compassion help those of help most in need <br />Yet of their heroics we never do read <br />For to do good in the World by their compassionate nature inspired <br />And of singing their praises one should never feel tired.<br /><br />Francis Duggan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/those-born-with-compassion/
