Raindrops fall quietly by, <br />While sun shall sleep behind a layer <br />of gray moving through the sky, <br />Moistening the dear crisp air. <br /> <br />Watching, I see a lake form, <br />And starlings hop along and sip <br />the raindrops from the storm, <br />Which would not pass a humans lips. <br /> <br />Young saplings rejoice in living, <br />And green is seen again. <br />A great oak is standing, <br />Will be joined by them, but when? <br /> <br />And so the raindrops will fall, <br />Giving life and much time to all.<br /><br />Ciaran Quirke<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/raindrops-a-necessity/
