If I could have walked with Jesus <br />so many years ago. <br />Would I have listened to what He was saying? <br />As others did in days of old? <br /> <br />Would I too have walked on water? <br />Because my faith was strong in Him? <br />Or would I've been like, doubting Thomas? <br />and gone down into waters depths within? <br /> <br />Would I have complained when someone stole my cloak? <br />Or when I was hungry and needed fed? <br />Would I have complained about my feet getting blistered and tired? <br />and having no soft place to lay down to bed? <br /> <br />Would I have been dinning at Jesus' table? <br />where there was breaking of His bread of life? <br />But I am walking with my Jesus <br />I guess I've been walking with Him all my life. <br /> <br />I can take the bread in remembrance <br />of this Jesus who had died for me. <br />I didn't need to have walked with Him, years ago <br />for He is now with and living inside of me!<br /><br />Linda Winchell<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/if-i-could-have-walked-with-jesus/
