On the wall <br />Sticking closely <br />Gradually and slowly <br />And adding beauty <br />To the wall <br />The wall <br />Made of stone <br />And crushed stone <br />Heated abnormally <br />And iron also <br />A box is made <br />All four sides <br />Sharp edges <br />The big walls of separation <br />What the prisons are made of <br />Houses made like small prisons <br />With gates <br />Some iron workmanship <br />Ironsmith <br />Carpenters and the fallen trees <br />Cages <br />Everything available <br />Where from the civilization has grown <br />The freedoms in the prisons <br />A dog and a watchman <br />Creep in slowly <br />Cover the stone wall <br />With leaves, branches <br />And some flowers too <br />Look from the corner of the window <br />I will keep the window open <br />For tonight the moon is full <br />Some sustenance <br />I know you are sun worshipper <br />But the moon is my worship <br />A slow song <br />Stolen from nature <br />Kiss me <br />Some thoughts of freedom <br />Freedom is but imagination only <br />Creep in slowly <br />Lest no one sees you <br />With a gentle touch <br />Wake me up <br />But before I have attained that freedom <br />I would have cut my wrist <br />For the ecstasy of being with you <br />I can only comprehend <br />When I let my body freeze <br />In the early hours of the night <br />Into nothingness <br />So you become me <br />For I shall be free only <br />When I am you<br /><br />Sadiqullah Khan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/creep-in-slowly/
