This dim summer night <br />The stars were not shiny as bright <br />But the air was cold <br />Although the trees were bold <br /> <br />I Am afraid of this strange dark place <br />But i must conquer my fears face to face <br />The darkness is chasing me for my soul <br />As it hides behind every pole <br /> <br />So I must not make the wrong turn <br />Are my soul will be burned <br />I must find the light <br />But the light is nowhere in sight <br /> <br />I stood in fright <br />Although I still must fight <br />I reach a hill <br />And see a light house made of steel <br /> <br />I looked around <br />The darkness was nowhere to be found <br />Then out of nowhere <br />I hit the ground <br /> <br /> <br />The darkness had got me <br />And started to strike <br />I couldn't let it get me <br />So I had to fight <br /> <br />Then I saw the light shining <br />Its colorful beam <br />Finally, I woke up <br />From this horrible dream <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Also Written by Jerome Brackins <br />March 26 2008<br /><br />Lagario Johnson<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-darkness-23/
