That was a cold winter evening,
I could find the roofs covered with gray frost,
Lives haunted with the thrill of chilling,
And the world seemed to be a weeping host.
Perhaps, i was the only witness,
To the daunting calmness!
Ii walked through the dark misty lane,
Stared at the site,
And asked to myself,
What could be the bane?
As I passed by the deep white lake,
A cool reek breeze, passed through me like a hissing snake!
Oh! i wandered!
Was it a deadly coon?
And closed my eyes for reason unknown!
I wished to run but could not find a nook.
Only, a dirty, stifling, undulated brook!
Far away from this indigent soul,
Flowing with noise that of an owl's howl!
Only then i realized, I could not go!
As i was tangled by the roots of the snow!
I shouted for help.....
But no one seemed to approach me,
No! there was none!
The next moment, the world began to roar..
No! I could remember no more! !

The next morning.....
I found myself firm,
In my own yard, so warm!

So, I still wonder,
But could find no answer.
To my most confound question...
Was it a dream?
Or,
An intention...?

Pumpkin Anu

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/was-it-a-dream-7/
