I didn’t get the equations right <br />tonight, the evening was a mess, <br />when you started to fight – is <br />there anything I could have done <br />to change the tenor of this song – <br />this sad melody of loneliness, <br />heartache and fatigue? <br /> <br />When you had a temper tantrum, <br />I felt like crying, suppressed the <br />tears, then felt angry – pushed <br />the anger away; now I’m left with <br />nothingness, even my dreams are <br />gone, my mind full of emptiness; <br />going back to the beginning… <br /> <br />First cry the unshed tears, die <br />the inner death, accept the pain, <br />let the anger out, the disappoint- <br />ment, the total deflation of all my <br />dreams and hopes and happiness, <br />watching as my soap-bubble joy <br />disappears… <br /> <br />I want my feelings back, I’m left <br />with emptiness where my <br />heart’s supposed to be…<br /><br />Margaret Alice<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/cry-the-unshed-tears/
