When we met,
Fate,
the compassionate compass
brought us so close to each other,
and attracted like magnetic poles,
north and south, we came together.
while magic of love
transformed this despondent world
into such a blissful paradise!

When we met,
I remember –
were greeted by
a golden flower of light that
bloomed on the orange tree of sun
and the fresh fragrance
of sensuous morning
lingered in the shades of crimson sky!

When we met,
unspoken words like bubbles of
ephemeral euphoria emerged
from the profound depths of our hearts
and whispered sweet nothings,
sowing seeds of seduction and
rekindling the fiery flames
buried in our bosoms!

When we met,
we realized –
Love was indeed the
answer to our lifelong prayers
and we worshipped the ivory idol of love,
with festoons of rose-buds
and camphor-flames of fervour.
Thousand lamps of love sublime, lit so bright
illuminated the temple of our hearts and
our transcended souls dazzled
in eternity…

Copyright 2008 © Bharat Trivedi

Bharat Trivedi

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/when-we-met-6/
