Before Spirit comes to stay <br />Before Christ comes to reign <br />Before God’s Lamb can have His way <br />The righteous suffer pain <br /> <br />God’s Holy Wind begins to blow <br />Beneath The Saviour’s feet <br />He’ll scatter weed and chaff below <br />He’ll separate the wheat <br /> <br />Rubbish! He gives The Flame to burn <br />He’ll trample in the dirt <br />Yet still the chosen wheat will learn <br />That righteousness can hurt <br /> <br />The truth, is hard to see at first <br />Through filth, it’s hard to find <br />Through sin, the eyes of man are cursed <br />And to God’s ways, are blind <br /> <br />Salvation comes through Christ within <br />God’s secret things, unfold <br />But oh; when Jesus takes the sin <br />We’d love so much to hold <br /> <br />It hurts to lose it hurts to give <br />It hurts from much to part <br />It hurts to die, that Christ may live <br />Inside His servant’s heart <br /> <br />But when The Lord we’ve truly sought <br />For filth, we’ll have no need <br />We’ll take each dark, each evil thought <br />We’ll burn the devil’s weed <br /> <br />We’ll drink in faith God’s precious Dew <br />Receive His Holy Seal <br />And though through pain we start anew <br />In righteousness, we’ll heal….<br /><br />Michael P.
