You know I stay in a little <br />Broken place I call home <br />I know it ain’t very much <br />But it’s a place of my own <br />And if you can look past the floors <br />That creak in the night <br />If you can stand the swollen doors <br />That just don’t close that tight <br />Then you can sleep alright <br />Just don’t draw any curtain <br />In my humble little abode <br />What he wants, I’m not certain <br />He’s staring from across the road <br />There he’s always been <br />And maybe he’ll always be <br />The creepiest thing I’ve ever seen <br />But I don’t let it bother me <br />He means no harm <br />I can only hope <br />People seem to be alarmed <br />That he carries a strangling rope <br />I don’t really mind <br />Because I certainly know <br />If he leaves that rope behind <br />He’ll have nothing else for me to show…<br /><br />Aven Black<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/paranoia-man/
