Not that I defy it,
I am what I am
I don't pretend to be what I am not
Yet the urge persist.
Not that I hesitate
Nor am I reluctant
But the things in my mind
Don't let me forget
Things best be forgotten.

My mind is more confuse
Than anyone can guess
Transecting me to a world of puzzles
Confuse devouring me at every steps
Losing my way in a world
I can never come out from.

I am sure am not alone
Yet my heart erratically beats
Each passing moments
Waiting for the time
When I am wash away
In an ocean of anguish.

Why is it we fear the past?
The future that beholds our aims and ambitions,
Hopes and aspirations;
A future that might become void
Just as quickly as lightening stuck
When the past comes face to face
Nothing but the truth stares our face,
Our much effort to escape turns vain
Our gasping breath strangle us
To a painful memory
More painful than death
Death a welcome guest
Almost a pleasant antidote.

Syeda Sheema

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/unbreakable-fear/
