Looking into my new mirror <br />To see what I could see <br />I saw a stranger looking face <br />Was staring back at me <br /> <br />It bore me no resemblance <br />To the person I once knew <br />A face now full of wrinkles <br />Far more than just a few <br /> <br />A nose so slightly broken <br />An ear had once been torn <br />Not sure it really was my face <br />I’m sure it’s too well worn <br /> <br />The face I can remember <br />Well shaven very clean <br />Wasn’t quite the same <br />As the one that I’d just seen <br /> <br />The stupid mirror that I bought <br />Shows many imperfections <br />So it’s going back from where it came <br />With its faulty wrong reflections <br /> <br /> <br />© 2008 David Threadgold <br />Rambling Riddles
