What will it be for tea tonight? <br />My Wife said do not worry <br />I’m making you a special dish <br />They call it hurry curry <br /> <br />She went into the kitchen <br />Got many pans and pots <br />Then went through all the cupboards <br />For packets there were lots <br /> <br />With spice rack at the ready <br />The fridge door open wide <br />Got very quickly emptied <br />From everything inside <br /> <br />Lots of clangs and clatters <br />I dare not go to near <br />So shouted from the doorway <br />Are you alright there dear <br /> <br />Yes it will soon be ready <br />As she stirred our largest pans <br />With lots of empty packets <br />And many empty cans <br /> <br />She placed it on the table <br />With a great big bowl of rice <br />I dare not ask her what it was <br />But it tasted very nice <br /> <br /> <br />© 2008 David Threadgold <br />Rambling Riddles
