GOD’S EXPECTATIONS <br /> <br />You walked through the streets <br /> <br />stones thrown at your flesh <br /> <br />Thorns wrapped around your head <br /> <br />but you didn’t love me any less <br /> <br />You were mocked and called names <br /> <br />to go along with the pain <br /> <br />I wonder if anyone even really <br /> <br />knew of your name <br /> <br />They wouldn’t give you any water <br /> <br />to satisfy your thirst <br /> <br />They did all they could to make <br /> <br />you suffer and hurt <br /> <br />But you still loved all men no <br /> <br />matter what it was they did <br /> <br />You pulled the weight of your cross <br /> <br />on your shoulders alone <br /> <br />This was your last day of life before <br /> <br />you were called home <br /> <br />But on the third day you arose <br /> <br />from your grave <br /> <br />To be there for me from this <br /> <br />world to save <br /> <br />You, the only begotten son <br /> <br />sacrificed for me <br /> <br />Is there any value in my life? <br /> <br />What is it that you see? <br /> <br />I pray Your expectations for <br /> <br />my life are met <br /> <br />And when my life is over <br /> <br />at Your feet I can set <br /> <br />copyright 2008 Pamela O Rucker <br /> <br />www.pamelaorucker.com<br /><br />Pamela O.
