'So Much More Than That' <br />I'm so much more than flesh and of bone, <br />I feel the sins of which I have owned. <br />Prayers to God, <br />'please remove them from me', <br />I'm much more than that, <br />Of what you can't see. <br /> <br />I cry in secret <br />Of the things I have done, <br />Not visible to you, <br />But God knows every one. <br /> <br />I smile and I grin <br />As if I were free. <br />There's much more, <br />So very much more, of me. <br /> <br />You've taken it for granted <br />I am what I am. <br />You see me as strong, <br />But there's a much different man. <br /> <br />I hide in the shadows <br />Of a past I did make. <br />I shiver in filth <br />Of each heart, I did break. <br /> <br />Thank God He forgives me, <br />He forgives me of sin. <br />So I need not live, <br />In this torment I'm in. <br /> <br />Reborn of the King, <br />He died for me on a cross long ago. <br />He left me His words, <br />So that I might know. <br /> <br />So I'm much more than <br />Of what you can't see. <br />I'm a new child of God, <br />He died to give that to me. <br /> <br />So when you look in my eyes, <br />You now will see a different of man. <br />I'm much more than that, <br />I've been cleansed by the Lamb. <br /> <br />***Sometimes we see others and really never see what they might be going through.
