Immense as far as your eyes can see
Blooming, a field of daffodils in harmony
Blowing, the wind going home to the sea
Grass so defiant is swaying peacefully
With butterflies gently flapping their wings,
Patiently searching to satisfy longings.

Two little kids chasing dragonflies
Catching, holding and letting them fly
Running across the vast of green
Sprinkled with yellow flowering gems
Sliding down the hill and resting on the mound
Nestled in a town, this scenic playground.

He picks lovely prairie flowers for her
Smile on her face he remembers
A peek on her cheek, innocence unconcealed
Holding hands hopping across the field
Faces aglow and happily they go
Savoring these wonders they know.

Many years have easily passed by
Kids no more, their fate still in play
Amidst exchange of verses in a hollow
Two minds unearth same story of long ago
In the valley of memories, dreams often pray
Answer granted in a mysterious way.

Manonton Dalan

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/fate-can-play/
