Schizophrenic Tranquility <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I find myself walking in the peaceful woods <br /> <br />I am scared of what may jump from the bushes. <br /> <br />But the calming sounds of an approaching stream <br /> <br />Calm me until I contemplate the slick jagged rocks. <br /> <br />I walk along sorting out my thoughts <br /> <br />But constantly bothered by the whispers in my head <br /> <br />I take comfort in know that I’m on the right path <br /> <br /> I am scared about the forks that come in the road. <br /> <br />I choose the left feeling it was the correct choice <br /> <br />But the shadows and whispers grow stronger. <br /> <br />I slow my breathing down to a calming rate <br /> <br />Just in time to race the other direction. <br /> <br />I see the light just up ahead <br /> <br />My mind is racing and running from the present. <br /> <br />These feelings for you may not be true <br /> <br />As well as for many <br /> <br />But if they are true and meant for you <br /> <br />You live in your own schizophrenic tranquility. <br /> <br />T.
