If time could be stopped or reversed <br />I would stop the moment you took your last breath <br />I would reverse it back to the day before the last day I saw you <br />Then I would be able to tell you again that I love you <br />I would beg you not to leave me and I would ask you <br />“Who do think I will remain with when you leave me <br />What do you expect me to do when you gone” <br /> <br />Maybe so many questions would have had <br />HIM think twice about this whole arrangement <br />Maybe if I had taken care of you more, <br />He would not have done it <br />Maybe if I had told you that <br />“Mother despite everything that I have done in life <br />I am proud that you are my mother and not someone else” <br /> <br />I should have not let you leave the house that day <br />Maybe if I didn’t I would have seen you take that train. <br /> <br />There were days when I looked into your eyes <br />I would see that this earth is no more for you <br />There were times when I told you that are going to leave <br />You’d say I should never say that because you will never leave us <br />There were times when I would sing to you and tell you how much I love you <br />You supported everything I did because you cared <br />At times my voice would sound bad because <br />I couldn’t reach the high notes but you would have that smile that say <br />“My baby you sound good” <br />I would do the stupidest things ever and you <br />Smiled to every thing I did <br /> <br />I hated to see you cry but you always said you hate to see us hurting rather it is you <br />That’s feeling the pain not us and I used to find that so amazing <br /> <br />I love you ma and I tell you till today I still believe that one-day <br />I will see you come in the front door. <br /> <br />I hope you happy where you are.<br /><br />Zanele Mavuso<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/if-time-could-be-stopped-or-reversed/
