This is my first attempt to write free verse so it will not be very good. <br /> <br />I dont need a shoulder to cry on. <br />I dont need strong arms to hold me up. <br />I wont fall or shed a tear I am strong. <br />I may be broken inside and faking my smile. <br /> <br />But I can act like nothings wrong. <br />Im not okey but I have to be I dont want your pity. <br />I dont need a gentle hand to wipe my tears away. <br />I dont need a boy to mend my broken heart. <br /> <br />I just need someone who will always stay. <br />Im tired of broken promises and heartfelt apoligies. <br />I dont want anymore goodbyes I dont want you to leave. <br />No more fake smiles and pretending to care. <br /> <br />My heart always skips a beat when you walk by. <br />But now everytime tears form in my eyes. <br />I try to laugh but choke on your words. <br />Im caught in a web of rumors and lies. <br /> <br />Trying to break free but ending up more broken then ever. <br />Ive lost everything that gave me something to live for. <br />My hopes have become false and my life a crumpled chaos. <br />I dont need a shoulder to cry on. <br /> <br />I dont need strong arms to hold me up. <br />I wont fall or shed a tear, I am strong. <br />But sometimes even the strongest break down and cry. <br />And sometimes theres nothing you can do when your broken.<br /><br />Silence Dogood<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-am-strong/
