There comes a time when decisions have to be made <br />Decisions that will affect the rest of our lives <br />There comes a time when we have to take a long hard look at ourselves <br />And ask ourselves 'what now'. <br /> <br />We have been hurling hurtful words to each other, accusations that have no end <br />Though I mean what I have said, hurting you was not my intent <br />Circumstances have forced me to be honest in the most brutal way <br />Only so that neither of us would go astray. <br /> <br />You told me in so many ways that you doubt and distrust me <br />For my agenda you are not sure of <br />If wishing for someone kind and good to spend my remaining days is an agenda <br />Then, clearly we are not on the same page. <br /> <br />I may have flaws that are hidden in plain sight <br />A passion that you have unleashed <br />They should not be a deterrent <br />But reassurance that I truly feel for you. <br /> <br />If after everything that I go through for you <br />All the angst, the pain, the joys, my fears, my hopes and my dreams <br />are not enough <br />Then, go on your way and forget about us.<br /><br />June FeirCruz<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/crossroads-in-life/
