What a dilemma I have <br />Trying to sort my feelings out. <br />I may have mistaken gratitude for love <br />And now I have to take five steps back. <br /> <br />For months I was on cloud nine <br />From this whirlwind romance that I have found. <br />I thought it was an answer to my prayer <br />Till trouble started to simmer. <br /> <br />First, there is another woman <br />Who is not supposed to be an 'other woman' <br />She is someone you share the same house with <br />A former lover, but no more. <br /> <br />Then there is that nagging suspicion <br />From both of us coming from all directions. <br />Is there hope for us yet? <br />From this quagmire we both created. <br /> <br />So, tomorrow we will talk <br />For a kind of understanding we hope we can achieve <br />We will sit and face each other at the table of negotiations <br />And hope a mutual understanding will be met. <br /> <br />3/30/09 <br />1: 21 pm - jfc.<br /><br />June FeirCruz<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/clarity-in-a-quagmire/
