Betrayed by a friend <br />You cared for like a <br />A sister or a mother <br />Betrayed just like a child <br /> <br />One minute you are friends <br />The next minute you are betrayed <br />By your best friend and <br />Then you’re sitting there with a <br /> <br />Hole in you’re heart because of <br />That person and then you <br />End up crying yourself <br />To sleep because you feel <br /> <br />So hurt and all this time <br />You were just portending <br />To be my friend. <br /> <br />Even though you hurt me <br />I can’t seem to let you go <br />But I will go on without you <br />and I want to make sure you know <br /> <br />It will take sometime to mend, <br />The damage that you’ve done, <br />But broken hearts do heal, <br />That’s where strength comes from. <br /> <br />For now the tears may be falling, <br />And my thoughts keep coming back to me <br />But soon, things will get better, <br />If you have hope, than they always do. <br /> <br />But how do I explain <br />How much I feel and how much I want <br />To talk and work things out <br />And repair the hole in my heart. <br /> <br />But somehow as I sit here and write this <br />Not because I want to but because i <br />Have to for you and for myself <br />Because I know you will read this <br /> <br />And understand it and me <br />And the way I feel because you always <br />Have and I know you always will. <br /> <br />It’s that bound that reaches <br />Over oceans and repairs torn <br />Hearts, something a best <br />Friend can only understand. <br /> <br />So if you really did care <br />For me you won’t have betrayed me <br />And you would of called me <br />To tell me that you are sorry <br />By now. <br /> <br />And my last words to you are I remember you <br />When you walked in to my secret life <br />I don’t now <br />What life brings tomorrow <br /> <br />But I want you there next to me <br />I don’t know were <br />I will be tomorrow but <br />I remember you and me.<br /><br />Tayla Fankhauser<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/friends-betrayed/
