The devil sits in the corner <br />as i sleep at night. <br /> <br />he haunts my dreams <br />watching as i twist and turn <br />waiting for me <br />to wake up with tears running down my face. <br /> <br />my pillow has gone from white to black <br />stained with eyeliner and mascara. <br />its no longer comfy and dry <br />like it use to be. <br /> <br />These nightmares <br />put me in hysterics <br />i wake up sobbing <br />shaky and sweaty <br /> <br />if only you knew.... <br />how bad they really got. <br /> <br />Last night <br />I was alone in the dark <br />i was scared <br />looking for someone to love <br />There was no one. <br />i wandered around for hours <br />looking, searching for someone <br />anyone at all. <br />there was no one. <br /> <br />he laughed at me <br />when i woke up shaking. <br /> <br />Two nights ago <br />I killed myself <br />Not once <br />Not twice <br />three times. <br />The first time <br />a knife to my wrist <br />The second time <br />alcohol and pills <br />the third time <br />with a noose. <br /> <br />he laughed at me <br />when i woke up in hysterics. <br /> <br />Three nights ago <br />I was raped <br />over and over <br />I tried to scream <br />but there was no sound <br />all i could see <br />was his evil smile <br />all i could hear <br />was his voice <br />telling me <br />'it will all be ok' <br /> <br />he laughed at me <br />when i woke up sobbing. <br /> <br />Night after night <br />i wake up to see the devil <br />with that smirk on his face <br />he is happy now that im up <br />and my mascara is running. <br />I try to ask why <br />but he just laughs... <br /> <br />that laugh i hear after every dream <br />that laugh thats shakes me with fear. <br />that devils laugh.<br /><br />Wishing For Perfection<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-devils-laugh/
