I sat upon a chair it could have been a couch <br />The questions that he asked made the mind go ouch <br /> <br />That’s below the surface where folk don’t often ask <br />You want to see my soul by questioning my mask? <br /> <br />This mask is just a cover fashioned in my youth <br />I had to make it fit, believing no one knew the truth <br /> <br />So all my life’s been dancing to a song called only me <br />It gets a bit uncomfortable when a wise man comes to tea <br /> <br />What is it he knows that makes him so at ease? <br />Sir won’t you tell me kindly I’ll write anything you please <br /> <br />Is there such a thing as truth that satisfies the soul? <br />Have you the missing piece to make the puzzle whole? <br /> <br />Words sparkled like the sun as though from ancient times <br />And the world within the mind lay still unwrapped in rhymes <br /> <br />All my thoughts unravelled rivers became the sea <br />And the only missing part was the fool who could not see <br /> <br />You only have to look you are the missing part <br />The sound of all is heard in the ear of the heart. <br /> <br />So if you meet a wise man invite him home for tea <br />And be joyful in the Lord, without the fool called me.<br /><br />Wojja Fink<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/poetic-dialectic/
