Today someone I loved died, <br />No, I'm sure I will be okay... <br />Outside I smile and appear to be happy... <br />But, inside... <br />Well, there is a war going inside of me. <br />Both sides are losing and both sides are winning. <br />Cannons are being blasted and shots are being fired... <br />It's chatoic inside and I feel like I'm dieing too. <br /> <br />I tell my parents I'm fine, that I will survive <br />They walk away and leave me alone... <br /> <br />You will find me in a dark corner, <br />Screaming and crying... <br />Pleading for an angel to give me back my loved one. <br />But, no all I hear is laughter from below me <br />And the ground shakes. <br /> <br />Someone I loved died today, <br />And I feel like I'm dieing too... <br />Though, I don't let it on <br />And I smile like I used too. <br /> <br />Someone I loved died today, <br />And I'm stiching up the wounds <br />After a long period of time <br />From a hard battle. <br /> <br />Someone I loved died today, <br />And I'm finally over it.<br /><br />Mathew Sutter<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/death-today/
