As I turn around to say goodbye, <br />For the last time. <br />Want to run to you with my arms <br />Open wide. <br />And cry. <br />The tears they well up in my eyes, <br />Denial caught up with me, <br />No longer can the truth hide. <br />That you are leaving, <br />Tomorrow you’ll be gone. <br />I know you are not dying, <br />But if you ask anyone, <br />I’m not sure it would feel much different. <br />Either way it hurts me to say, <br />So long.. <br />Everything you did for me, <br />I can never thank you enough. <br />As much as it scares me to say, <br />I am much too dependant, <br />On you to save me everyday. <br />Too much attachment. <br />I don’t want things to be different now, <br />I want you to be able to stay here somehow. <br />And if I had all of the money in the world, <br />I’d pay for your every need, <br />Just as long as you could stay here, <br />In the same place as me. <br />Oh how I wish that you did <br />Not ever have to leave. <br />As much as it hurts me to say… <br />And as much as I will continue hoping <br />To see you again one day… <br />Want it to remain the same. <br />So, <br />Until we meet again.<br /><br />Bekah Tav.<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/as-much-as-it-hurts-me-to-say/
