To me love is just a waste of time <br />why get settled if you know its gonna end <br />why make love poems when they do rhyme <br />but they never make any sense <br />why take a giant leap <br />into the arms of some one you think you trust <br />just to find that it wont work out <br />and you fall to your knees <br />begging over and over <br />but you shouldnt give up all hope <br />because i know out there is some one <br />feeling the same pains as you are <br />crying the same lonely tears <br />drinking the same ol coke <br />wondering the same ol things <br />so dont give up <br />because there is always that one person <br />who can make you smile when your mad <br />make you laugh when your crying <br />make you jump when you cant stand on your feet <br />there is always some one out there <br />dont ruin it over some dinky arguments <br />dont throw it all away <br />bc trust me in the end you will pay <br />tell me does the hurt that one you loved <br />equal out to the LOVE that one who hurt you <br />youll have to choose or you wont go no where <br />youll have to stand tall <br />dont let any one trip you to fall <br />speak up let them know your there <br />show them that you really do care <br />bc its not worth giving up <br />all i ever wanted to do was cry cry cry <br />because he just kept telling me bye <br />i didnt want it to end <br />and neither did he <br />but he needs his own life <br />so i let him be <br />the love that you shared with that one person <br />will be in your heart forever <br />there will always be love <br />and other boys to think of <br />your never alone <br />thats no excuse <br />just follow your heart <br />and see what it leads up to....<br /><br />Jessica Henning<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dont-give-up-6/
