The minute you decide that you would not want to be anyone rather than yourself, you will be happy. <br />Every time you try to act how you think you should, you are loosing pieces of yourself, <br />Ones that do not deserve to be forever broken off and thrown away. <br />Jealousy is suicide as a great man once said. <br />And I'll be damned if he's wrong. <br />I long to be something, someone else, a better version of myself, if you will. <br />But there are times, when I would not want to look out a car window as someone other than myself. <br />And there are times when the world is too bittersweet, too tragically, horribly, beautiful for me to want to see things any other way. <br />I will not lie, sometimes I pray so hard that I will wake up and be a brand new, improved, ' cooler ' me <br />But today, I have had my say, <br />And I am here to stay.<br /><br />Rita Shay<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/there-is-no-one-else-i-d-rather-be/
