Here's to wishing that no more jobs will be lost. <br />That everyone will get a little something on Valentines' Day, <br />That birthday will not go forgotten, <br />That cookies will no longer burn. <br />That people will be kind. <br />So that people speak the truth to your face <br />And that they know how to love and how to grow. <br />That wars would be no more. <br />That all religions, races, forms of marriage, we could coexist. <br />That no more people sit in front of the television on Friday nights. <br />That bones and hearts would not break. <br />That pimples would never appear between eyes, <br />That we would all be and feel beautiful. <br />And maybe know how to see what is right in front of us. <br />That we will laugh at least 3 times a day. <br />And that good songs will always be on the radio. <br />Their would be no disease, physical or mental. <br />That money would not be the first thing on our minds. <br />This dream, this toast, I wish so deeply and dearly <br />Is something out of this world, <br />That only death and a new eternal begging will ever bring.<br /><br />Rita Shay<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/to-28/
