God save us all.
a term known by man so well
but one must stop to ponder,
do we fully understand the term?
or are we just so stuck in our search
our search for self righteousness and purity
that we are blinded by what we have done?

Locked away in the shadows of our minds is a key
the key to our freedon, to our own sanity.
but will you reach it? Will you set yourself free?
God cant help you. Only you can free yourself,
from that which you have entombed yourself in

a Vast fight breaks out on the opening dawn
between the forces of good and evil
but tis not the apocalypse, nor the end of days
this is only the free man, searching for his key
in the poor minds of others we will plunder,
hopelessly we will forget, oh this evil it binds
the evil, it sprouts from our own minds

We will tear apart our own existance,
just to find something that cant be sought
then the human race with one last stance
shall all be forgot

So it comes to this,
ahnilation or salvation
each a bold term, we earn
salvation bringing warmth and bliss
but ahnihalation we all shall burn

try to lock your doors, try to run away
it shall get you in the end
god cant save you, neither can I,
your life now takes its final bend

Dylan Brown

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/ahnihalation-or-salvation/
