Christmas is the day Jesus was born in a manger, <br />Before he was born we were all in some real danger, <br />We sinned and still sin, to often without care, <br />So Christ died to give as all a share of him. <br /> <br />We are now forgiven for our sins, <br />And when we are fighting for the Lord, there is no doubt on who wins. <br />So take a moment today to give some thanks, <br />We are no longer in trouble with that 'bank.' <br /> <br />Lord in Heaven, I bow to you and give thanks, <br />Because you sent Jesus to die for my sins to give me a higher rank. <br />Now I am not only a sinner, <br />I am a Christian who is a sinner, who is forgiven, <br />And that is why I give thanks.<br /><br />Rita Hawkins<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-am-forgiven/
